Halo 3 Back on Top of Xbox LIVE

After being defeated for the first time since it’s release, Halo 3 has bounced back to reclaim the #1 spot on Xbox LIVE. Major Nelson has posted the Xbox LIVE stats for last week, and it appears that Master Chief wasn’t about to stay at the #2 spot for long. It will be interesting to see if Call of Duty 4 simply had a lucky week or if it will fight back to regain the crown. What say you?

    I think Halo 3 will stay up at number 1 for a while! I mean I went on COD4 and there were about 80,000+ people online, where as on Halo 3 (the same night), there were about 140,000+ online! I dunno… I guess we’ll see what happens!

    It’s a tough one… Personally, I think Halo 3 will hang at the top for a while again. I wish Major Nelson would release the numbers along with the ranks on these top 10 lists…

    COD4 is an awesome online game, but it does get stale after a while… in my case a few weeks.
    Halo just has more diverse gameplay and more wide-open maps.
    COD4 needs a serious injection of something new. A patch doesn’t cut the mustard.

    I wonder how things will shake up with Battlefield: Bad Company and Frontline coming up??

    I think it doesn’t matter. Halo 3 at the end of the day will probably still be played through the 360′s lifespan while CoD4 players will move on to other things. CoD5 or CoD6…

    Yeah, that would make sense. But you never know. I haven’t played COD4 multiplayer yet, but I would like to give it a shot. Personally, I think the biggest reason it’s caught on as well as it has is because it has a lobby system. I think we could be talking about Halo 3, COD4 and TF2 right now, if only Valve had been smart enough to implement a lobby system.
