New KotOR Being Developed?

star-wars-kotor-cover.jpgAccording to an analyst report at EA (who now owns BioWare), Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is listed as one of the studios ongoing projects. It’s not much news, but the first KotOR goes down as one of my all time favorites, so playing another great game in the series would be awesome. Hopefully we will get more details soon…

Oh, and to the people who haven’t played the first KotOR game (Shafnitz, MrSpinch): You’re missing out (feel compelled to play it now?). It is one of the best games with the best stories I have ever played. If you like awesome and Jedis (synonymous, I know) you will love it. Even if you don’t traditionally like RPGs.

    I know I’ve been missing out on it too. I’m a huge fan of JRPGs but never took much interest in Western RPGs until recently.

    If they can do a proper sequel to Kotor that would be awesome! Kotor II didn’t live up to the first game, but it had it’s moments.

    From the sounds of it, it’s a good thing I missed KotOR 2. I hope they do make a proper sequel then, so I have something else to look forward to.

    Kotor II was buggy as hell (it locked up my xbox more than once) and had huge gaps in the story. The game play itself was good, and they started you out as a Jedi so you had force powers from the very start, but it still took too damned long to actually get a light saber in the game, which was frustrating.

    So I’ll probably be doing things a little differently from most. I’ll play Mass Effect first than find a copy of KotOR.

    I actually did fire up KOTOR once. I was bored as hell in about 3 minutes. Not my kind of game.
