Mystery Code Giveaway

Major Nelson has been doing mystery code givaways on his website and his Twitter recently. I thought it would be fun to do the same. Since we don’t get a ton of traffic right now, it might take a while before someone comes across this.

Be sure to post a comment if you’re the lucky winner.

Free Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack with Ninja Gaiden II pre-order

April 14th, 2008 by Shafnitz  | View Comments »

ninjagaiden2.jpgCircuitCity.com is offering a free Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack code with the pre-order of Ninja Gaiden II. The code will be e-mailed within a week of you placing your pre-order. CircuitCity.com will not charge you for Ninja Gaiden II until it has been shipped (the game currently has a release date of 06/03/2008). The Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack will be released today for 800 Microsoft Points ($10) on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. (Personal note: The remake of Lockout looks awesome.)

Now, it seems that you could pre-order the game and cancel once your code arrives. Theoretically, of course. I’m not saying you should, I’m not saying you shouldn’t. Whatever…

And we’re back

After a little (lot) of time off, I’ve decided to give Xbox Overdose another shot. I don’t think we’ll be doing any news posts, as that seemed impossible to stay on top of and there are better outlets for that information. (See Xbox 360 Fanboy, Joystiq and Kotaku.) I’m still not 100% sure what content we’ll be adding in the future, but for now, I figure we can handle some Deals and Reviews and maybe even some Giveaways. Hopefully, we can get some regular posts happening again.

Also, I’m wondering if any of you in internet-land are interested in being one of our reviewers. If you’re interested, use the Contact Us form and send us a review of any game you want to review. New or old, it doesn’t matter, however I’d prefer it be an Xbox 360 game. I’ll be looking for writing skills, spelling, grammar, etc, so be sure to proof read your post before sending it.

Anyway, if any of our regular readers are still with us, thanks for sticking around. Hopefully XOD won’t disappear again.

Xbox 360 Wireless Headset – $43

Xbox 360 Wireless HeadsetGet it while it’s hot. Buy.com is selling the Wireless Headset for the low, low price of $43 with free shipping. This is $17 off the regular price. I’m not sure if they’ve worked out some of the issues it had when it was first released, so you might want to do some homework before throwing down your hard-earned cash.
