I know you’ve all been counting down the minutes for this XBLA release. Well, you can rest assured now, Boogie Bunnies is available for download on Xbox Live Arcade right now for 800 points. Here’s the synopsis from Xbox.com:

Help the Boogie Bunnies achieve their dream of superstardom as they shimmy shake their way through exotic, colorful destinations all the way to Hollywood. Only you can ensure they make it. In this revolutionary match-3 puzzle game, Boogie Bunnies lets you match up these wacky disco fur balls from three different sides—left, right, and from the bottom. Score chain combinations and watch them get their groove on. Let’s get the party started!

Rumor: Duke Nukem 3D Coming to XBLA

duke3dmenu.jpg

Over on IGN they are claiming to have some sources that have informed them that Duke Nukem 3D will indeed be coming to XBLA sometime “in the next several months.” They also claim to have confirmation of four player co-op and eight player deathmatch over Xbox Live.

This could be a good addition to XBLA. I enjoyed Duke 3D back in the day, but I don’t think I’d be willing to pay more than 400 points for it now.

Wednesday’s XBLA Release: Boogie Bunnies

boogiebunnies_head.jpg

This week’s XBLA release has been announced to be Boogie Bunnies… Um… What?

I don’t really know what to say about this, as I have never heard of this game before. All I can say is, at least it’s not Tron. You can pick it up on Wednesday for 800 points. I’ll reserve judgment for the trial version.

goldeneye_screenshot1.jpgAccording to gamerblog Xbox Evolved, Microsoft, Rare, Activision (the current holder of the James Bond game license), and MGM/Sony Pictures (who have the rights to the James Bond films) have worked out a deal that will allow Goldeneye to be ported to the 360. But that’s not all!

The title will have updated graphics and full multiplayer capabilities, and should be released “later this year”. Also slated for release are Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie.

Remember, everyone… this is still a rumor (and not one that any of the major players involved have commented on, at that)… so don’t get your hopes up quite yet.

Peggle Confirmed for XBLA

peggle.jpgThere were rumors yesterday of a few unannounced titles coming to XBLA. Today, one of those rumors has been confirmed by Shacknews. Peggle will indeed be coming to Xbox Live Arcade sometime in Q2 of 2008. There has been a lot of buzz around this game recently. If you’re curious to know what it’s all about, you can play a free version on PopCap’s website.

Sensible World of Soccer back on XBLA

boxsensibleworldsoccer.jpgIf you’ve been eagerly awaiting the return of Sensible World of Soccer to the Xbox Live Arcade, your wishes have come true. After disappearing for a couple days, it’s back and it’s still 800 points. Maybe I’m the only one who doesn’t care, because apparently a lot of people freaked out when the game was released and didn’t work properly. Anyway, here’s Major Nelson’s original post about the release.
