We’re going to give Thursday another shot this week. Our last XOD Game Night attendance was a little on the slim side, so hopefully we get a better turn out this week. Be sure to vote in our poll to help decide which night we should hold XOD Game Night. The poll can be found in the sidebar. We’re going with Halo 3 again this week, as it’s a game that many people have.

Amazon is selling the be-all-end-all edition of Halo 3 of goodness for $60 today. You won’t get it any cheaper than over half-off.

Bungie has announced today that they have added a Big Team Battle playlist to the ranked matchmaking in Halo 3. You can now play some sweet 8-on-8 action in a handful of different maps and game types. Check out the official announcement for all the deets.
Just wanted to remind everyone that tonight we will be playing Halo 3 in our weekly recurring XOD Game Night. The festivities begin at 6:00pm PST tonight. Be sure to add the gamertag xboxoverdosecom to your friends list. If you’re online at the designated time, you should receive an invite from one of the XOD crew.

After being defeated for the first time since it’s release, Halo 3 has bounced back to reclaim the #1 spot on Xbox LIVE. Major Nelson has posted the Xbox LIVE stats for last week, and it appears that Master Chief wasn’t about to stay at the #2 spot for long. It will be interesting to see if Call of Duty 4 simply had a lucky week or if it will fight back to regain the crown. What say you?
The U.S. Army is sponsoring yet another Halo 3 Play & Win Sweepstakes. The Heavy Weapons Training begins now and with it we have been given a Heavy Weapons dashboard theme, some gamerpics and Halo 3 Heavy Weapons training videos all free on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
There are two ways to register for the sweepstakes. First, you can visit this registration page on Xbox.com. Second, you can download a free Halo 3 gamerpic from Xbox LIVE Marketplace, which will automatically register you for the sweepstakes.
Once you have registered, entering the sweepstakes is easy. Simply play Halo 3 multiplayer on Xbox LIVE between February 9th and February 15th. Each day you play will snag you another entry.
Prizes include a bunch of Microsoft Points and one Grand Prize winner will receive a Limited Edition, framed piece of Halo 3 Artwork (left).
