A New Controller from Microsoft?

December 28th, 2007

So it’s starting to look like the rumor from yesterday might have some legs to stand on after all, at least according to teamxbox.com. They stated in their post this morning that they can “confirm that Microsoft has been researching alternative input technologies for the last two years.” Another interesting quote: “Particularly, Microsoft has looked at ways to improve the right analog stick input and you’ll hear more about those efforts soon.”

I wouldn’t imagine teamxbox would “confirm” this kind of thing unless they had some sort of confirmation themselves. I guess if they’re right, we should know sooner rather than later if this is all true.

Rumor: Xbox 360 to get Motion Control?

December 27th, 2007

According to some reports, Microsoft may be working with Saratoga, California firm Gyration to get motion control on the Xbox 360. Details are still pretty thin, so chalk this one up as a rumor for now. According to the report, motion control may be provided via add-on module, similar to the 3rd party add-ons that are currently in existence.
